Day 54

COLD

Not what you want to see as you're at the start of your first winter half marathon

Day 53

Heaven in a bag

I'll admit it. I have a weakness and it's called McDonalds. Nothing makes me happier than that brown paper bag full of tasty, salty treats.

I know there's nothing good about the food...I know it's full of chemicals and doesn't have a single ounce of anything healthy, but I don't care... I love it.

It's the one constant on any road trip, the first thing I want when I'm sick. It's my ultimate comfort food.

I guess it helps when you're allergic to so many things, finding anything ready made that doesn't make you sick feels like winning the lottery.

Day 52

I'm really digging the new camera app I downloaded for my ipod...I think that for the next week I'm going to shoot with that instead and see how it changes what I see!

Day 49

Windy

On my way home from Birds hill park I passed this guy in the floodway and decided I had to snap a quick pic

Day 48

Sunrise

I awoke this morning wondering where the stunning sunrises have been this winter. Usually the skies are on fire, but today's was the closest we've had this year and even that was lacking.

So what;s the reason? What is it that makes a stunning sunrise? Cloud cover of some kind, but what's that key part that's missing?

Stunning sunrises & sunsets Please come back...I miss you.

Day 47

The "it" place to feed

Okay, so this pic's not amazing...I've taken better...but somehow the fact that I managed to get it and recapture the escaping feline makes it all the more special. I told her she was more than welcome to go explore and I'd wait for her while eating Aunties cookies...but the snow and the squirrel chatter seemed to make a strong case for going inside.

Day 46

Snowy Rose

I think that after a week of photographing glorious landscapes, I've run out of ideas. I think that the idea of this shot worked out better than the actual result...I don't know what it is about red roses...they just don't seem to photograph well for me.

Day 43

43 days in and my enthusiasm is starting to wane...although after a week of shooting stunning scenery and people, returning to indoor inanimate object just feels depressing. Although that could be the jetlag talking...

Day 41

Valentines day

Day 40

A fitting Farewell

I'm going to totally cheat...This wasn't taken Sunday...it was taken a few days before in Grenada. But after non stop photo taking for a week and suffering from extreme jet lag picking up the camera just wasn't an option.

At the last moment before we pulled out of port a gorgeous rainbow broke out across the entire front of the island. Never before have I witnessed the start and finish of the rainbow. A perfect ending to the perfect day.

Day 30

Book Fair

I could have spent hours...instead I spent WAY too much money

Day 28

All of the extreme cold happening outside has forced me to turn inward again for inspiration. I'll admit after almost a month of photographing 'things' I'm longing to see life again.

The above is a 3D wall hanging of a lovely Geisha that my grandmother brought home from one of her many travels.
